SBS Author information: Jake Corey was born and shortly after made homeless in Ashbourne Derbyshire. He grew up in a mining town in Nottinghamshire and later joined the Army. He left military service more than four decades later as a senior officer. He lives on the Continent and in the United Kingdom with his ever cheerful, loving and supportive wife.
Joy Christian was born in Graz, Austria of Norwegian and Austrian parents, a Norwegian citizen, but lived almost all of her life outside of Norway. She graduated from the International School of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Upon graduation she moved to Oslo, Norway, where she attended various schools and had various jobs until she met her husband who was in the United States Navy. With him she lived in Spain, Germany and various places in the US.
Joy has been a tour guide in Mallorca and Tenerife, Spain, but mostly worked in office environments. She is currently residing in Portland, Oregon. |
